My aunt offered me her 5ct diamond ring — would you buy it?

My aunt is downsizing her jewelry collection and offered to sell me her 5ct diamond ring. The stone is massive and honestly much bigger than anything I would normally consider.

She’s giving me what seems like a really good price, but I don’t want to get caught up in the “5ct” factor and make an emotional decision. I’m also wondering how much the diamond’s quality, certification, and setting should affect what I’m willing to pay.

For those who know more about diamonds, what would you check before buying a stone like this? And is a large natural diamond actually a good investment, or should I not look at it that way?

Is a diamond tennis bracelet a good first fine jewelry piece?

I don’t own much fine jewelry yet, and I’m considering a diamond tennis bracelet as my first big purchase. Rings feel risky with sizing, and necklaces don’t always fit my style. For those who started with a bracelet, did it feel like a smart choice?

In love with my diamond engagement ring

My fiancé got me the perfect engagement diamond. It's subtle, looks amazing on my hand, and just makes me smile every time I see it. Proof that you don't need a massive stone for true happiness. Love it so much!

Tips for choosing the perfect diamond cut

I'm trying to figure out which diamond cut would suit me best, but all these options are overwhelming. I love the look of oval and emerald cuts, but I’m worried they might show flaws easier. Does anyone have tips on picking a cut that balances sparkle and durability without breaking the bank?
