Help—high gpa but on the fence about applying

As the title states my gpa is pretty high. I’m currently sitting at a 4.16. Am a rising junior and was always vaguely interested in law school. I think I would get into a good school and would be good at the work but I am still on the fence for personal reasons. I guess my question is:

Would it be kind of a waste to have that high of a gpa and not apply? (because maybe I get a decent chunk of money and causally have a JD if nothing else)

Thanks in advance
