Coil spring attached yesterday and I can already feel space opening up!!

Had my third braces adjustment yesterday and got a coil spring attached for my crowded upper teeth / rotated canine. Last night while flossing, I already noticed a gap where two teeth used to touch. I have overcrowding so flossing feels very hard due to the tight spots.

Is it normal to see this kind of change literally within a few hours? I know actual tooth movement is supposed to be gradual, but this felt crazy fast.

For context, I also had my upper wisdom teeth removed already, and my orthodontist just added brackets to the last upper molars + changed my lower wire to a thicker one.

Very excited to see if this starts helping my crowding and canine rotation more over the next few weeks.

Anyone else had a coil spring work this fast? 😅
