I’ve been mouth breathing my entire life
For context, I’m 22, and I feel like my nose is permanently blocked. Breathing through my nose is not only physically difficult because of how narrow my airways are, it’s also noisy and I can’t sleep.
I mouth breathe when I’m walking or doing any sort of activity or sleeping. The only time I can nose breathe is when my heart rate and oxygen demand is super low. I don’t know if I have a deviated septum or if my sinuses are just always congested/inflamed due to allergies, but even after taking antihistamines daily for years the issue never went away.
What should I do? I’m planning to see a GP about this. Can I fix my jawline and raise my hyoid?
