Okay, there’s been a loooot of discussion. I truly do understand the frustration from day 1 fans. 3 years for this intense slow burn feels awful when you just want them to be lovey dovey haha..

I’m not mad at the direction the story is going. I’m quite happy that there’s no rushed feelings and that there’s a more complex story to be told about two characters who’ve had a very rough life. In ways, it’s realistic (even tho people have argued against that).

At the beginning of season two kim dan “moved on” from jaekyung. Which truly, reading back on it, I don’t believe he ever did. He just accepted that jaekyung didn’t feel the same way and pushed his feelings to the side in order to protect himself. I think now, especially in chapters 91-100, we see that they both clearly have feelings for each other.
I don’t think Kim dan is THAT dumb and he did somewhat catch on or feels that jjk has SOMETHING for him, but he won’t force it. Again, jaekyung needs to gather his thoughts. Honestly, I don’t think jjk will be doing the chasing this time, but rather Kim dan. In chapter 100 we see that Kim dan did expect jjk to say something to him, even maybe ask him to stay. Obviously jjk being the stubborn man he is, he didn’t.

Sighhh jaekyung, that last moment of hope he had to keep Kim dan by his side was definitely swept away by the fact that Kim dan was stabbed just for the sake of the match. Obviously he feels completely at fault.

My personal theory.. grandma brings them together. I think she’ll see Kim dan is a little upset (?) and asks him about jjk and he’ll probably confess her how he feels.. and she’ll probably encourage him to pursue.. or at least that’s what I hope. The only thing connecting them right now is grandma okja since dan left the wardrobe at jjks.

Okay I finally woke from my slumber to read the new chapter and everyone on Twitter is HATING it real hard.
Maybe I’ve got a bit of an unpopular opinion, BUT as much as I want to shake some sense into jjk, I didn’t hate this chapter.

Mingwa is probably having a fantastic time giving us this slow burn. I think.. this mini time skip will be good. They both need to think about their feelings and what they want. We can see that CLEARLY Kim Dan definitely still yearns for jjk. And I’m not surprised jjk blames himself completely. Although, he isn’t the full reason why Kim Dan was in the hospital, *he* doesn’t know that.

He’ll probably take a small break from the sport, or announced his retirement, or maybe a third more interesting option?

Maybe the gets matched for a fight, Kim Dan sees and obviously realizes what jjk has to do in order to fulfill his routine. Feels heartbroken, and reaches out?

Idek.. I like the fact that the story is a little unpredictable and I’m quite enjoying this slow burn. Means more chapters to read.

OH and on a final note, dan gets to spend more time with grandma! Maybe jjk visits? who knows!!!!

I’ve seen a lot of talk surrounding how the team might react towards jaekyung having feelings for dan / them being a couple.. and I don’t think it would be that negative. Maybe shocking! But not negative at all.. just basing their reaction towards heesung hitting on dan
