The coloring/rendering is definitely MMX8, though. I almost scrapped it, but it’s still standing.

Render & Other Additions Made by Me
After finishing Ultimate Armor X (X8), I'm now working on this new WIP while also revisiting and improving some of my previous edits. Finally, I'm getting ready to restore some of the more interesting Mega Man X8 concept art, although it will take quite some time to do it properly.
Thank you all so much for your appreciation!
After a month and a half of preparation, I am thrilled to present the most challenging — and also the most rewarding — edit I have ever produced. Thanks to Blender's 2D features and the use of Photoshop throughout several stages of the project, I was able to bring to life many details that went beyond my imagination.
I hope everyone enjoys this work, which was done with great dedication and care, despite the time-consuming process. Every edit and restoration I develop is designed to offer the best possible experience.
Thank you all so much. I hope you enjoy what's coming next, and I will also be making the PSD files available in case you want to create your own versions.
I'm currently wrapping up the base stage of the pre-render process. The project is not fully finished yet, as a few stitching and alignment adjustments are still needed to ensure everything renders correctly. For now, this is just a small teaser to give a glimpse of what's coming.
It's been a while since I last talked about this...
To explain where MMX7 in RE-skin X Dive all started: it began as a hobby project near the end of 2023, right when Patch N's (노멀맨) was finally released. That was the exact moment the idea took off, back when Mega Man X7 concepts and mods were incredibly rare and Mega Man X DiVE was still actively online.
At the time, I researched every possible way to create textures, alternative assets, or even a full mod. However, the "mod" itself never actually happened due to the ISO's infamous "7 phantom keys"—complex files like DATAS.EMI, ENG, RED, and OSD that I knew absolutely nothing about back then. The closest I ever got was replacing textures via PCSX2, and it was honestly a blast getting the project off the ground. Everything was done meticulously and optimally, from the textures to the reference models, but each asset took months to finish.
As time went on, and with the demands of personal life, the project was ultimately shut down and canceled. It became just a shelved concept with no plans for a comeback… until May 2026.
That was when I stumbled upon a similar project in the works: the Mega Man X7 Recharged Project. Right then, I thought, "Wow… I need to give this person a standing ovation." I reached out immediately and, to my surprise, Phoenixjkl mentioned that they had actually drawn inspiration from RE-skin Dive.
With great honor, I decided to share all the lessons, knowledge, challenges, and tools I had gathered from my past experience with RE-skin Dive. In the end, I was able to make a meaningful contribution to help Phoenixjkl develop what was still left to be done.
With all my support and gratitude, I ask everyone to show some love and back the MMX7 Recharged Project and the MMX7 N's Edition!
Thank you so much!
