Why should I change all 4 tires
I know damn near nothing about cars. I drive a 2017 Subaru Impreza, it’s an automatic and has AWD.
There is a bulge on one of my front tires. I took the car into a shop for a different problem and they told me because of the bulge in one tire I should replace all 4. I am an inherently skeptical person and in this arena I have no knowledge to stand behind to say that’s wrong.
Are they being truthful? Should I replace all four tires or just the one? Also can you explain why I would need to get all four replaced?
Other possibly important info is I live in a place with rough winters (ie lots of snow and ice).
Thanks
Edit: the tread of all of them is 6/32
Edit again: thank you all for your answers!
