In Le Mort D'arthur is the word "horse" pronounced without a "H" sound?
I'm re-reading Le Mort D'arthur and Arthur says "for grete nede hast thou of an horse". As far as I know the rest of the book has followed the same rule we use today where you say "a" if a word starts with a consonant sound and "an" if a word starts with a vowel sound. So is Arthur pronouncing it like "An orse" without a "H" sound?
