AITA for faking my death to win a war against my racist family
I (10000+ F) come from a family of colonizers, I used to be so eager to follow in their footsteps that I'd beg for a colony, so imagine my excitement when I was offered a planet to start colonizing.
That excitement didn't last long, I found managing a colony to be very boring, my personal servant, let's call her "Priscilla" (1000+ F) tried to ease my boredom by giving me the idea of disguising as one of the lower classes and going to our newly born workers at the kindergarten, soon after that we were touring the untouched areas of the planet and I was in awe of the local life, of the natives, of nature, I changed my mind about colonizing the planet and I brought it up to my family, "Yelena" (100000+ F) told me to finish what I started, when I brought up wanting to preserve life on the planet to "Blais" (100000+ F) she created a zoo and captured a bunch of the natives, our Matriarch "Whitnee" (100000+ F) didn't even bother, they never took me seriously so I felt I had no choice but to become someone they couldn't ignore.
With my disguise I took on a name, let's call it "Thorns" I first tried to scare them off the planet with Priscilla, when that didn't work I rallied people into a rebellion and it escalated into a war. On the other side of the war, with my family, I pretended to be afraid and tried convincing them to let me abandon the colony one last time, they still refused, so me and Priscilla faked my death, my family retaliated by blasting the planet, wiping out most of the rebellion, I was only able to save myself and a few others, including Priscilla... AITA?
