Weird intermittent hanging on new Strix G18

Hopefully this is an acceptable place to post this, please nuke if not. Sorry for the wavering mess of a video, but anytime I opened OBS Studio to record what was happening, the issue went away.

A little after closing a game (where cpu/gpu max temps were 75), or closing Chrome, or after playing something on YouTube for a few minutes, I notice this weird hanging/stutter where everything freezes for a second then continues on.

I had a different computer do the same thing, so I'm wondering if it's just a Windows 11 thing, or a NVIDIA thing. Or a Windows 11 NVIDIA thing.

In the above mess you can see it affecting simple typing, where it hangs, everything stops, then restarts and one moment after System jumps to the top of the processing list. It usually shows at 4% or less of processor then, but I'm wondering if it's actually jumping monumentally during that moment.

Anyone experience this? When I get properties on System it's just system32. I've poked around a few places to find something similar and a fix but haven't found anything yet.

ASUS ROG Strix G18 (2025) Ultra 9 275HX, 5070ti, 32GB DDR5. 2.5k 240hz, Win 11 Home.

(love this laptop, btw, figure that should be said!)
