Welp, my 14u daughter has aggravated her growth plates in her shoulder and elbow from the stresses of 4 seasons of catcher. While the orthopedist tells her to rest, she’s going to learn how to throw lefty, and maybe hit lefty, too. Better than sitting around all summer, I figure.

Picked her up this pancaked Louisville 125, Made in Japan (but i think it was the bees knees back then maybe?), that I did a water method on to reshape for her.

Thought the ladder web is pretty cool, and it’s working just fine so far for catch!

When I was a kid I loved Ozzie Smith, I was in awe of his fielding. I asked my parents for his RBG50 glove, and used that for years. Years later, I’m still blown away by what he did with the glove — and it was a good time to graduate to his 12” trapeze.

One of my favorite gloves, I just love the embroidery and details. No idea how many were made, but it seems fairly rare? Getting this one ready for the 4th!

My mom and dad played catch with me when I was a kid using shared a basket weave Rawlings. I didn’t have a basket weave in my collection yet, so the Jax sale seemed like a good opportunity to pick one up.
