Where to get a California Burrito?

I want carbs on carbs on al pastor. Where is the best place that puts fries in their burrito?

Bonus points if they wrap it in paper, not foil.

White Toyota Rav 4 on El Camino - you suck

To the white Toyota Rav 4, black tinted windows, black and yellow custom license plate, driving south on El Camino Real today (Friday 8/14) at 7:45am:

You’re an asshole.

I was trying to get my family member to the emergency room.

So when you matched my speed, I assumed you were also in a rush. Only when I got behind you, was when you decided to slow down. When I tried to get around you, you sped up, and even blocked me from getting a lane over.

Fuck you.

We both were going 5-10 over the limit side by side. Was it ego? Was it you trying to police others? Did you think it was a race? Did it make you feel like Dominic Toretto with your 4 cylinder compact SUV going 0-40 in 27 seconds?

Did you at least feel bad when you saw me in your rear view mirror turning to the emergency room entrance?

No one is trying to play games with you at 7am on a Friday. I can understand if I was driving erratic and 20+ over the speed limit but I wasn’t. I was trying to move with urgency within acceptable limits.

Since your assholeness started in Colma and all the way down to El Camino Real, if any of your family or coworkers in the Colma/South city area know of someone with a 2022-2024 White Toyota Rav 4 with 10% (illegal) front tinted windows and black license plate, give that jerk the side eye for me.

Looking for corned beef sandwich that's similar to a deli in Seattle

I've been craving a corned beef sandwich similar to Market House Meats in downtown Seattle.

Any recommendations of sandwiches served like the picture?

I will drive anywhere in the bay for this.

2025 was probably the final year for dissertations to be written without AI.

I have this weird thing where I pull out a random thesis and read a couple of pages to pay respect to someone out there that poured months of their life into a project.

Last week I read one from 1996 dissecting the struggles of disabled minorities having access and navigating the healthcare system. Pretty interesting.

Then a thought occurred to me: someone in 1996 spent months researching, interviewing, calling various people and compiled all their findings to write 10,000 words into this one final piece.

I can do the same thing now with a few prompts and bypass all of that.

Is it even worth writing a dissertation at this point?

Is $200k possible in California?

Single, no kids, and very small circle of friends so I have a lot of time doing nothing.

If you were in my shoes, how would you reach $200k in the Bay Area?

Would being a full time RT and part time teacher get me close to that goal?

Or would you just try and take all the OT available?

I'm a first semester respiratory student in Northern California and my teacher is terrible. His class lectures consists of whatever the publisher gives him which are 50 slides of straight bullet points - no pictures, no diagrams, just facts I need to memorize for the weekly quizzes.

He's book smart and only spent a couple of years in the field as an RT so he has trouble connecting the "why" behind the information.

For example, our last lecture was about Ventilatory Failure vs Alveolar Hyperventilation and if you walked into our class you would mistakenly think you were in an algebra course with all the greater than (>), less than (<), pH balances, PaO2 30 baseline, with Δ PaO2 60 current, etc.

I asked my RT friend for help with that concept and he was able to teach it to me using 2 half empty water bottles symbolizing kidneys and lungs to demonstrate hyperventilation and ventilatory failure.

So the idea came into my head... I have to be in class but I don't necessarily have to learn from him.

Are there any apps or courses that supplemented your learning?

My plan moving forward is to take his slide deck to memorize the facts to prepare for the quizzes and find courses to connect the "why" behind the numbers.
