How can i actually be qualified for a job

Im a 1st year chemistry & criminal evidences major i plan on going jnto the toxicology field since thats what my curriculum is mostly covering but im aware that I'll most likely not find a job straight away and will need other entry level jobs to get a start but at the same time i have no idea how id do these jobs.

i don't feel like uni is preparing me for jobs i still feel like im studying simply to pass and get a degree and even if i want to enrich my mind and know more about my field im always so burned out from finishing an exam or studying for one.

How do ppl manage in their first day in a job? I plan on working in a pharmacy in the summer or applying for an internship in a lab but i have zero clues about how tf im gonna manage at either of those.

And i see ppl having degrees in a certain something then working in something else entirely, how?? How will i do a job if i have zero knowledge about it it's genuinely terrifying me that i wont actually be qualified or know what im doing
