Golf Course Road feels like a market where buyers already know what they want

While exploring projects around Golf Course Road like Godrej Miraya, DLF The Arbour, and Trump Tower 69, one thing felt very different compared to newer sectors.

The conversations here seem less about “future growth” and more about refinement. People are comparing details like privacy, density, maintenance standards, and how the project will feel years later.

It doesn’t feel like a market where buyers are experimenting anymore. Most people already seem clear about the kind of lifestyle they’re entering into.

Was searching for old shows on YouTube and ended up in a full emotional spiral at midnight

So I was just doing my usual thing searching for old Hindi TV shows on YouTube. Nothing specific. Just that kind of night where you want something familiar in the background.

And then YouTube did something actually useful for once.

Recommended a teaser. New upcoming show. No face. No big reveal. Just a studio setup, a vibe, and a name.

Shekhar Suman. Coming back.

I just sat there for a second not moving.

Honestly didn't even need to see his face. Just the name was enough to completely stop me.

Because I went from searching for old memories to accidentally finding out they might be coming back. That hit differently than I expected.

Grew up on Movers & Shakers and Dekh Bhai Dekh. Our whole family would sit together for that. Dad laughing that specific laugh. Mom actually paying attention. Nobody leaving the room.

That era of TV just felt like an event. And this guy was a massive part of why.

Spent the next hour going down a rabbit hole of old clips instead of sleeping. The timing. The expressions. The wit. Still holds up better than most things being made today honestly.

Didn't expect a random YouTube recommendation on a quiet night to make me this emotional about a TV host.

Early 2000s TV had a different vibe altogether

Nowadays these comedy shows are boring backthen in 2000s Indian TV era felt so comforting.

Back then, watching TV wasn’t just timepass. It was like a proper routine. Evening time, dinner smell in the house, someone fighting for the remote, and some iconic show playing in the background.

I still remember catching episodes of Movers & Shakers and thinking it felt so “grown up” at the time. Half the jokes would go over my head, as back then I had no idea about satire but the vibe was addictive the sarcasm, the confidence, the way it felt like Indian TV was actually trying something fresh.

And it wasn’t just that show. That whole era had gems like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Boogie Woogie, Khichdi, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and even random reruns of Shaktimaan that somehow still felt exciting.

Weekends felt even more special because you’d have shows like Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, or KBC, and the whole family would end up watching together even if nobody admitted they were interested.

What I miss the most is how natural everything felt. The comedy wasn’t forced, the hosting had personality, and the shows didn’t feel like they were made only for “viral clips.”

Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking, but I genuinely feel that early 2000s TV had its own charm that’s missing now.

Anyone else get hit with these memories sometimes? Which show instantly takes you back?
