Officially named: Space Mountain Earthrise and Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue (Credit: u/The540Incident)

Credit to u/The540Incident for this news.

The two new Tomorrowland rides at Tokyo Disneyland are now officially named, together with a bespoke microsite:

https://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/treasure/tomorrowland_2027/en/

There are no material updates concerning when they are opening, the dates published are similar to previously noted during financial results reporting (but at least we know Space Mountain is calendar year 2027 meaning before 12/31 rather than fiscal year 2027 which runs to end of March 2028):

  • Space Mountain Earthrise - TBD 2027
  • Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue - Spring 2027

Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue

"This indoor attraction, themed after the Disney movie "Wreck-It Ralph," is an interactive game that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

To save the world of "Sugar Rush," a racing game set in a candy kingdom, which is in danger of being destroyed by a glitch created by King Candy, the "Sugar Bugs," guests enter the game world and join forces with familiar characters from the movie, such as Ralph and Vanellope.

Immerse yourself in the colorful game world and enjoy restoring the Sugar Bugs to their original cute candy forms, such as gummies and cupcakes."

Space Mountain Earthrise

"Space Mountain Earthrise is an all-new indoor roller coaster-type attraction that takes guests on an unforgettable journey through outer space, featuring brand new architecture and a newly developed ride system that combines imaginative storytelling and immersive theatrical effects inspired by the wonders of space.

From there, guests can enjoy a dynamic and immersive experience through the cosmos unlike ever before, with special light and sound effects inspired by various space phenomena. Additionally, in a first for roller coasters at Tokyo Disney Resort, the ride vehicles will come equipped with an onboard audio system. The attraction’s exterior incorporates curved features designed after the movements of celestial bodies and forms found in nature, such as trees and flowers — an expression of the connection between space and nature."

Indy Return Announcement Teased

Indiana Jones Adventure®: Temple of the Crystal Skull has been in refurbishment since August 18, 2025. A few hours ago, TDR's official PR social accounts (on X, Insta etc) posted this picture with a message that could be translated to/read as: "Is everyone ready? See you again soon!"

(Original: みなさん、用意はいい? またお会いしましょう!)

A few days ago, as part of its Q1 2026 earnings financial report, OLC already confirmed that Indiana Jones will be returning at some point (when they added the ride to the DPA candidate list).

The ride originally opened in DisneySea on September 4, 2001, so there has been speculations that it might reopen in time for its 25th anniversary: will it happen? Stay tuned.

See original post here on X: https://x.com/TDR_PR/status/2084180003923939607

Edited with link to context of prior OLC published information.

Many Priority Ride Passes will become paid DPA from Sept 1, 2026. Plus other TDR news from Oriental Land Co Q1 FY2026 financial results

The Q1 2026 results for TDR’s operator, OLC, were announced today.

https://www.olc.co.jp/en/ir/library/presentations.html

  • After the "40th Anniversary" passes end on 31 August, many of those rides will now be converted into DPA from Sept 1, all priced between ¥1,000-1,500. These are specifically: Big Thunder, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Haunted Mansion (Holiday version), Monsters, Inc, Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones. This information is now also published on the official Disney Premier Access page (link).
  • Some of the existing "not as popular" 40th Anniversary Pass rides are not listed, so it is unclear what will happen to those rides at this stage (specifically Haunted Mansion (Non Holiday Version), Star Tours, 20,000 Leagues, Turtle Talk, Nemo SeaRider and The Magic Lamp Theater). It still remains possible that at least some of these will remain on a "free pass" system to be announced.
  • Indiana Jones is listed as an upcoming DPA ride, so at least we know the ride is not closed permanently, but it is still listed as a "TBA" so it seems it won't be back for the moment (or at least probably not by Sept 1)

Some other interesting information from the Q&A (source) include:

  • Overseas guests has declined year-on-year. "By area, we are receiving the most guests in the following order: North America, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. On the other hand, as per JNTO’s announcement, the year-on-year decrease is due to a fall in visitors from mainland China caused by deterioration in Japan–China relations, which also affected the number of visiting foreign tourists between April and June. Please understand that the parks have been subject to a certain impact from this." "Meanwhile, for overseas guests, visits are below both the previous year and the budget due to factors such as the decline in inbound visitors from mainland China caused by the impact of Japan–China relations."
  • Overseas guests in Q1 were down because of weaker inbound traffic from mainland China. Hong Kong visitors were affected last year by earthquake rumors and related flight reductions.
  • The main driver for strong merch sales in Q1 were attributed to sales of Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary merchandise, including food, jubilee badges, and plush toys. OLC said it stocked more aggressively to capture early demand and reduce lost sales. Some cannibalization of regular merchandise occurred, but the anniversary products more than offset that.

Not directly related to the parks, but OLC has also provided some elaboration of its cruise business model and target audience: "Cruises mainly depart and arrive at Tokyo International Cruise Terminal", "2 to 4-night short-term cruises", and target "Families, younger generation, overseas inbound travelers".

Source: https://reserve.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/sp/news/detail/2772/?pagingNo=1

Happy Entry & Hotel Selection Reminder: Please remember that for December 2026, only Hotel MiraCosta and Fantasy Springs Hotel guests will get Happy Entry to DisneySea, so take that into consideration when choosing your VP hotel. Also remember, while all hotels provide Happy Entry to Disneyland, as there is no Happy Entry for day of check-in, so the only Vacation Package that can take advantage of Disneyland Happy Entry is the 2 Night 2 Park Days (Park ticket second and third day) package.

Key summary

All 5 of the Vacation Packages that were on sale for early January will be available for booking.

Closure alert

Before you book, always check the official closure list (https://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/tdl/monthly/stop.html) to see if your favourite ride, parade or show will be down for maintenance before making your decisions.

Learn about how VP pricing works

If you have never booked a Vacation Package before, you might have some questions like: is it all inclusive? Does it include food? Is it compulsory to choose food? Why is the price variable? How come there is a "quote" that says "For 1 person per night per room" but I can never get that price or it seems so random (larger room seems cheaper)? See this post here.

VP Chaining 101 (i.e. if 2 nights just isn't enough)

The 2N2D packages are great "Swiss army knife" packages that enables chaining of Vacation Packages together to enable longer packages.

You can book them in front (Ticket on Day 1 and Day 2 type) or behind (Ticket on Day 2 and Day 3 type) any other VP - even itself - to create a longer packaged vacation. For example, Unlimited VP + 2N2D (Ticket on Day 2 and Day 3) = 3 night 4 days vacation (TDL/TDS/TDL/TDS), or 2N3D + 2N2D = 4 night 5 days vacation (TDL/TDS/TDS/TDL/TDS). While technically they remain two separate package reservations, if you are careful to book the exact same room type/specification, it is almost like you had a longer package (just contact TDR to put a note informally linking them after booking).

Booking tips: Can I just set an alarm and go to the site at 3pm JST?

That might be too late. There is a queue system that is implemented when website traffic picks up. If you start at 3pm you might not get through until hours later. You might have to start checking the site from as early as 2pm JST until you find a session with the perfect queue exit time no earlier than 2.45pm-2.50pm.

Please also note that the TDR IT system does not perform well when it’s under load.  So even if you manage to get through the queue, you might get kicked out during the booking process.  You might want to stagger a few sessions 30 minutes apart (it is not a bad idea to have one that starts at e.g. 4pm, 5pm JST etc) as last month many people who got through around 3pm got kicked off eventually.

See experiences in the comments here.  See also more detailed tips: https://www.reddit.com/r/TokyoDisneySea/s/V6EylAKvM3

I manage to book the same room type as a standalone hotel room booking (before or after) my Vacation Package.  How do I notify the hotel to avoid changing rooms?

Once you have made all the reservations, use the official hotel online form (and under "Type of Inquiry" choose "Request to link multiple stays with different reservation numbers and assign them to the same room"), so you don't have to change rooms. The bookings will remain separate and nothing gets "combined". Your VP remains pre-paid and has different cancellation policies and deadlines compared to your hotel bookings (which is deposit only and remainder payable upon check-in).

IMPORTANT: Just double check to make sure you book rooms that has the identical room type/room name/floor range (if applicable), number of beds and room size (in m2) as otherwise it would result in a room change.

Under the “unlimited rides on eligible attractions” package, the description says “Enjoy churros, popcorn, or frozen dessert as much as you like!”  Do I get all of those in my package?

No, unfortunately! The operative word there is the “or”. Your entire party must choose just one type of snack ticket.  That is, either churros, or popcorn or frozen packaged desserts.  If you choose churros then you will not have any popcorn.  Everyone in your party will have the same ticket type and you cannot mix-and-match.  Not all snack ticket type is offered at all times (except during winter months there will not be any frozen dessert option).  See also this post here.

How are Vacation Package costs calculated, how the Beverage Ticket works, and are meals pre-paid?

See this post here.

Do I get popcorn or popcorn bucket with the Vacation Package?

See this post here.

Do I get Happy Entry (early entry) with a Vacation Package?

Not necessarily. It depends on which hotel you are booking as part of the package.

Stream outside Japan for the first time! Tokyo DisneySea 25th “Sparkling Jubilee” Music Album (Deluxe)

UPDATE: The album seems to have been removed, so may be it was never intended to be licensed for outside Japan after all. It was good while it lasted!

When it comes to Tokyo Disney music, those living outside of Japan so often feel left out, because other than a single here and there, most of the TDR albums are not sold digitally outside of Japan, let alone for streaming.

So I am excited to report that the new Tokyo DisneySea 25th “Sparkling Jubilee” Music Album (Deluxe), the 3-CD set with 44 tracks, including seven previously unreleased songs, just launched on digital storefront and streaming platforms today and it appears that all 44 tracks are available even outside of Japan (hopefully it includes your country)! That is huge.

Most of the tracks are Japanese, but it includes a lot of gems like the full ride through mix for Soaring, Sindhad, and StormRider.

Happy 25th Anniversary Tokyo Disney Resort Line Monorail Today (July 27, 2026)

The Disney Resort Line at Tokyo Disney Resort opened on July 27, 2001.

Today it is officially celebrating 25 years. If you are there at the resort at the moment, you will find special souvenir "penny press style" medals, as well as a free sticker, and other celebratory elements.

Celebration Hotel and new DisneySea 25th themed rooms (Oct 1 2026 – Mar 31 2027)

Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, being the only “value” class hotel out of the 5 Disney hotels at TDR, is usually the budget pick compromise when the other onsite hotels are too expensive. But some new 25th Anniversary Sparkling Jubilee themed rooms will become available at Wish (one of the two buildings) that might actually make it worth considering aside from the lower price point.

From 1 October 2026 to 1 March 2027, you can stay in special rooms with three different “Off to a Sparkling Adventure!” wallpaper designs, exclusive framed photos, and limited postcards that change mid‑season, all featuring Masashi Asada’s photography for the 25th.

You still get Happy Entry at Disneyland, the ability to buy park tickets at the hotel even on “sold out” days, and a free shuttle to the parks, so for once Celebration is a genuinely interesting option for fans who don’t want to pay deluxe prices. This is also a viable option for pre-Vacation Package nights: don't forget, even though the Celebration is far away, they offer free luggage transfer to your Vacation Package hotel.

Bookings for these Imagining the Magic rooms start at 1pm JST on August 4, 2026.

Disney Halloween 2026: Details announced including costume permitted dates

Disney Halloween will run at the Tokyo Disney Resort from 9/16 to 10/31, this year with an expanded Coco‑themed Lazos de la Familia at DisneySea, pumpkin‑and‑sweets Halloween greeting at Mediterranean Harbor, Duffy & Friends’ “Autumn Surprise!” program, plus tie‑in offerings at the Disney Hotels, Resort Line, and Ikspiari including Coco revival screenings.

OLC released some details today relating to this year's Halloween event (press release here). Some key highlights:

  • Costumes permitted dates: Guests can wear full character costumes (rules apply, eg no imitating Cast Members, no face obstruction, no long train, no light up costumes, and your character must fall within the official Disney IP pertinent works list) at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea within these two date ranges only: 9/15-9/30, and 10/16-10/31. (Detailed Rules and FAQ here). In case you didn’t know, dressing up as Spider-Man is not permitted.
  • Duffy Autumn Surprise: Duffy & Friends join the Halloween fun this year with an “Autumn Surprise!” event which runs at DisneySea from 8/25-11/1 at Cape Cod. There is also a related themed menu at the MiraCosta Silk Road Garden.
  • Into the Frenzy Villains Parade back with ¥3,500 DPA: The ever more popular The Villains' Halloween parade will be back, but for those who want a reserved spot, DPA is priced at ¥3,500 (compared to ¥2,500 for a regular parade). Given how many locals stake out their spots for the parade at park opening, it will absolutely still sell out so assuming that will have to be a priority purchase for those who want a good viewing spot (though for parades you can see it pretty much standing anywhere as long as you’re not too fussed).
  • Miguel character greeting (with unique "world of the living" and "land of the dead" outfits at different time of day): The Lazos de la Familia event will return 9/16-11/2 at Lost River Delta. Miguel will have a character greeting location with two different outfits, one for the day time and one from the afternoon.
  • Haunted Mansion Nightmare before Christmas Overlay: 2026/9/15-2027/1/7

Edited to correct spelling of Lazos de la Familia, and more details on costumes.

No New Year’s Eve Celebration for another year (December 31, 2026)

The "New Years Eve" event has not returned to TDR since December 31st 2019/January 1st 2020, and some of us held out some hope that it would return some day.

True story: I was there at the 2020 countdown and that year the Castle was partially scaffolded up due to renovations, and I always hoped to go back again when they do a new years countdown, without the construction walls.

But this year will not be the year.

TDR has just updated its event schedule and has officially confirmed that:

>“New Year’s Eve” at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea (on December 31, 2026) will not be presented.

So once again December 31st will just be a regular 9am-9pm day. The New Years event will officially start January 1st 2027 through January 11th 2027.

Reminder of Upcoming Ride Closures: Rapzunel, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Monsters Inc etc

Nothing new, but summer is about to commence at the Tokyo Disney Resort, and a large number of popular attractions will all go into planned maintenance all-at-once, so here is a heads up. July is a great time to visit for those willing to brave the heat, but it does come with some trade offs.

  • Pooh's Hunny Hunt - Closed 2026/6/30 to 2026/8/28 - Reopening 8/29
  • Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek - Closed 2026/7/1 to 2026/7/31 - Reopening 8/1
  • Rapunzel's Lantern Festival - Closed 2026/7/1 to 2026/7/24 - Reopening 7/25

In addition to these, for Fotress Explorations The Leonardo Challenge will also be closed the entire summer. It's a Small World is also now closed until 8/4 to remove the Groot/Marvel overlay. Indiana Jones is of course still closed indefinitely since last August.

Mickey's Magical Music World: Unreserved Seats every performance this summer (7/1-9/14/2026)

Another day, another summer benefit announced for those brave or lucky enough to visit Tokyo Disneyland in the heat.

Mickey's Magical Music World is one of my all time favorite park theatre shows, and usually it is via Entry Request lottery or DPA only.

But from 7/1/26-9/14/26, all seats on the second floor will be available as unreserved seats, for every performance. That is amazing, in theory! The catch is that when this happened in the past, it just means you have to sit in a line/organised group on the floor outside the theatre for up to 2 hours before each performance, in order to claim those spots. Is it worth it? I hope they at least find everyone a shaded spot!

I believe Entry Requests are still available for 1/F seats, in addition to DPAs.

Use Fantasy Springs Entrance this summer (7/1-9/14) to return to your hotel with Park Hopper

The Disney Summer Cool-off event officially starts July 2, 2026.

With it comes a secret hack about the Fantasy Springs Entrance and the summer Park Hopper!

Usually the Fantasy Springs Entrance is a closely guarded benefit for those paying a high price to stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel (all day) and the Toy Story Hotel (after 10am).

Do you love to stay at the Bayside Hotels like the Hilton Tokyo Bay, the Grand Nikko, the Sheraton Grande, etc but also wish you could return to your hotel through Fantasy Springs for a lunch/afternoon nap, go back into the park in the afternoon, or at the end of the night after a last chance ride there? Or do you just hate the long walk from the main entrance to get to Fantasy Springs?

Well, now you can use that exclusive entrance, at a relatively "affordable" price.

  • From July 1, 2026 - September 14, 2026, those who buy the 1-Day Park Hopper Passport (Limited Period) (link) can use the Fantasy Springs entrance to enter from 11am.
  • No hotel stay required. You don't even need to be staying at any hotel nearby if you just to walk less to get to Fantasy Springs (just take the monorail to Bayside and go straight in after 11am when you park hop ... wow!)
  • Alternatively, Hopper holder can also use the Fantasy Springs Entrance to exit the entire day, even before 11am. This facilitates a "DisnsySea -> Disneyland Hop" strategy with reduced walking. i.e. Line up at TDS main entrance early, walk to rope drop Fantasy Springs, then after hitting the rides there exit to Bayside to monorail to Disneyland Station to do Disneyland.
  • This benefit does not come cheap, costing usually around ¥6,600-¥8,000 more compared to a 1-park ticket for the same day. Of course, the Park Hopper is not just to use the entrance, it also comes with the privilege of visiting both parks instead of one (hopping after 11am).

More details:

>The Fantasy Springs Entrance is available to guests using 1-Day Park Hopper Passports (Limited Period) between July 1 and September 14, 2026, regardless of their hotel stay. The guests can use the Fantasy Springs Entrance from 11:00 a.m. to enter and re-enter Tokyo DisneySea. This entrance can also be used to exit Tokyo DisneySea throughout the day. (Source)

Example use case: I am staying at the Hilton Tokyo Bay for a multi-day stay. For my extra day (e.g. 3rd day), I buy a 1-Day Park Hopper, start my day at Disneyland, and then after 11am hop back to DisneySea and spend the rest of the day there. And then I can use the Fantasy Springs Entrance to come and go in the afternoon and at night.

Is it worth it? It's worth thinking about if you still haven't bought your park tickets.

PSA: "Please Be Aware of Private Tours Unaffiliated with Tokyo Disney Resort"

This seems to be common sense, but putting it here as an FYI, since OLC thought it necessary to put the following notice on the Tokyo Disney Resort news page this week (link):

>"It has been confirmed on social media platforms that reservation sites for private tours where tour guides, unaffiliated with Tokyo Disney Resort, are offering tours of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

>Please do not book or purchase from such sources.

>Additionally, Tokyo Disney Resort prohibits any unauthorized commercial activities."

So it might mean that they are planning to crack down much more strictly (if they haven't already).

Two Years of Fantasy Springs: 11 Things that Still Catches New Visitors Out

Fantasy Springs in DisneySea officially opened two years ago today (June 6, 2024).

To celebrate (and/or to commiserate the increased interest and crowds that followed), here are a list of my top things that still seem to catch new visitors off guard, for those planning your trip to DisneySea for the first time.

https://preview.redd.it/dgnoqq842k5h1.png?width=2390&format=png&auto=webp&s=57aaf4cba447a020640f959ccad82652648ba9fb

1. It is a long walk to get to Fantasy Springs from most of the park, including the main entrance

There is no single perfect way or route to get to Fantasy Springs.

However, based on this previous discussion (see here), the most common and logical path the "rope drop" Fantasy Springs at opening is as follows.

If it is your first time in the park, you will probably get lost on your own (as signage is minimal). But don't worry, because at park opening, almost everyone is heading in the same direction: either towards Soaring or Fantasy Springs. Allow for 20-25 minutes walk at a moderate place. Remember don't run!

2. You don't need to prioritise buying a DPA for every FS ride: only Frozen

While all the major rides tend to see long wait time on a busy day, the DPA for Peter Pan and Rapunzel actually has very good availability (often way into the afternoon/evening).

So while you should definitely prioritise Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey, you should save the first few DPAs for other popular rides that you're interested in, for example, Soaring Fantastic Flight and/or Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

3. Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure: A technological marvel but also a source of motion sickness for some people

I think new visitors tend to hear "Peter Pan" and then mentally skip this ride. This is either because they didn't grow up with the movie, or regulars of the US parks might have memories of an old fashioned dark ride like Peter Pan's Flight.

This surprises many people, including myself, but Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure is absolutely the ride that is the most technologically advanced out of all the rides inside Fantasy Springs.

And many people also find it the most "fun" (despite the story itself not having the resonance that the Frozen storyline might).

It uses both practical sets and enveloping 3D screens in some sections, with the vehicle built on a 6 DOF Motion Platform (explanation), and this "full six degrees of freedom motion base, a turntable and track system ... delivers an unparalleled sense of flight and immersion" (source). The way it simulates floating on water and then flight in the air is nothing short of magical.

However, many people who are proned to motion sickless also react quite badly to it. So, be warned. Unless you suffer from motion sickness, you should definitely aim to experience it.

4. Don't space your FS rides too far apart. Everything in that area is close to each other

If you are planning your DPAs or Vacation Package tickets, do not leave a huge gap like an hour between each ride, as that will result in you stuck in a small area longer than you need to be.

If you are buying passes, allow around 30 minutes between each ride. The ideal way to sequence them is probably Rapunzel > Peter Pan > Frozen

5. The infamous "Roast Beef Popcorn" is no more

A lot of early content creator videos featured the "Roast Beef" popcorn, which used to be sold at the popcorn wagon in front of Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy buggies.

This popcorn is polarising: with a beef and mustard/radish type taste that you either love or hate.

However, it has been discontinued and the location now sells Garlic-Shrimp popcorn

6. All Fantasy Springs food locations are "counter service" only, and most require Mobile Order just to get in the door

They might all sound quite fancy, especially the Royal Banquet of Arendelle, but there is no "table service" locations in Fantasy Springs. So even if you have made a Mobile Order or have "reserved" a time via a Vacation Package, you still have to wait to collect your food on a tray like at a McDonald's and hunt for a table.

If you couldn't be bothered making a Mobile Order, there is always Oaken's OK Foods where that is optional. This snack location sells snacks like the Oaken's Yoo-Hoo Bread and Tiramisu Ice Cream Sandwich, which can tide you over.

(For Vacation Package holders, you can use your "Beverage Ticket" to get in the door of Fantasy Springs restaurant just by showing it to the Castmember at the door. You won't be able to order food this way but you can collect a free drink or walk around if you wish)

7. Fairy Tinker Bell Busy Buggies has no "priority lane"

It is a cute ride, and I personally love it. But those who are hoping to skip the queue via a DPA or Vacation Package (unlimited or otherwise) should be warned that this ride is standby lane only. So plan to do it early or later in the day.

Edit: User TuffyCatt made a good point that there is indeed some way to cut the Tinker Bell line. For example, Guests of the Grand Chateau can use their attraction entitlement if they use on this ride, as well as of course VIP tour guests.

8. There are Single Rider lines, but they might not be open

Single Rider lines are technically available for Frozen and Peter Pan.

(Note that it is not available for Rapunzel or Tinker Bell)

However, the lines are typically not opened during "peak" hours where the standby time is long. You might well think that Single Rider helps alleviates crowds by filling empty spots, and they do to some extent.

The Single Rider line itself actually takes up line capacity within the ride building, and as many of you know Fantasy Springs rides like Frozen is already famous for having lines extending to the "streets" all the way to the entrance. For larger rides such a Frozen and Peter Pan (unlike e.g. Raging Spirits), there is also often no genuine single empty spots that they technically can't fill, because the ride vehicle can be filled by putting various groups of different sizes together, so single rider takes up valuable space, and add administration to the cast members and having yet another line to administer (and also to ensure it moves along as well as otherwise the SRL also gets disgruntled). Single Rider line also encourage a "looping" behaviour where visitors just go onto the Single Rider line again and again because the wait time is lower (whereas otherwise they might just buy a DPA or line up just once), which then in turn inflates the standby time.

So if you miss out on a DPA, definitely check if Single Rider is available as a back up plan, but you shouldn't use it as your "main game plan" if the ride is important to you. If it is closed when you first visit, try again later.

See also here and here for some real life reports/experiences.

9. Fantasy Springs is right next to Raging Spirits

If you look at the map (marked "66"), Raging Spirits, the popular mini coaster that has a 360 inversion, is right next to the Fantasy Springs entrance. So if you are starting your day in Fantasy Springs (either because you are staying at the hotel or rope dropping), it makes sense to also try and hit Raging Spirits (and the single rider line if opened) at the same time.

10. You cannot go into the Fantasy Springs Hotel to "have a look"

Some hotels, like the Hotel MiraCosta or Disneyland Hotel, allow visitors to just go in and take a look around most of the time (though MiraCosta does impose restrictions on busy days especially during meal times).

However, only hotel guests are allowed inside the Fantasy Springs Hotel and Toy Story Hotel.

11. "Grand Chateau" guests no longer get earlier "Happy Entry" than the rest of the Fantasy Springs Hotel guests

Fantasy Springs Hotel Grand Chateau is the "luxury" side of the hotel.

(Usually, when people refer to the Fantasy Springs Hotel, they are referring to the "Fantasy Chateau" aka where the riff-raffs stay (joking))

While the Grand Chateau guests still get their own private entrance from within the hotel into Fantasy Springs (unlike Fantasy Chateau guests who have to go outside the hotel and use the Fantasy Springs Entrance), the Happy Entry time is now the same for all guests for DisneySea (i.e. same time for MiraCosta, Grand Chateau and Fantasy Chateau).

Lastly and most importantly: The park entrance next to Fantasy Springs cannot be used for entry/exit by most guests

And finally, the white elephant in the room.

Yes, there is technically a park entrance right in Fantasy Springs that is right next to the Bayside monorail station and a lot of popular hotels including the Hilton Tokyo Bay, Sheraton Grande etc., but if you are planning to stay at those hotels, know that most visitors must still take the monorail back to the DisneySea Station to use the main DisneySea entrance.

The Fantasy Springs Park entrance is only for use, both entry and exit, by Fantasy Springs Hotel guests (all day) or Toy Story Hotel guests (after 10am) only.

Is it "unfair"? You can see heaps of previous debates of various view points here, but the bottom line is that the entrance is intentionally reserved as a perk to entice people to stay the very expensive Fantasy Springs Hotel, which despite the huge investment by OLC does not have the kind of spectacular "in park" views/convenient location the MiraCosta does, so it just comes down to commercial reality. Exclusive perks are in every industry, and not limited to the Tokyo Parks. At least the monorail system is very efficient and the Bayside hotel guests have been doing just fine going to the main entrance for the past 25 years, so we will have to manage somehow.

40th Anniversary Priority Pass will end after August 31, 2026

The official TDR page on 40th passes was updated yesterday with this message:

>The Tokyo Disney Resort 40th Anniversary Priority Pass will no longer be available after August 31, 2026.

Originally introduced in July 2023, considering that it is almost the 43rd Anniversary of the Tokyo Disney Resort, that makes sense. It is unclear at this stage as to "what's next" but there are a few possibilities:

  • Possibility 1: Simple name change, with some retooling? Some of the rides that is under the system are no longer "in demand" and the PP are just filler on most days, such as Star Tours and Nemo SeaRider.
  • Possibility 2: For some or all of these rides to be rolled into the paid Disney Premier Access system. This seems likely, bringing it in line with other Disney parks where there is no longer any free FastPass system. This is not necessarily a bad thing, given these PPs are notoriously difficult to obtain on the day at the moment, so a slight barrier to entry might make people assess whether they really need to do the ride again before getting the pass.
  • Possibility 3: The rides will convert to standby only

Perhaps an announcement will come either soon or at the upcoming June investor briefing?
