New to showing - out of standard spoo?

I have a standard poodle puppy that im considering starting in conformation mostly just for fun :)

Only concerns I have is that

1 She does have a curled (happy/gay?) tail, would I still be able to show her under the rkc? Is there any point? She does have the cutest wee poodle prance and a lovely temperament so itd be a shame if not

2 Permissable trims for a puppy (rkc)? I heard retro trims are allowed etc but im not really educated on the topic

how do people prevent/reduce risk of pyometra in dogs?

This is a question more directed towards people who own dogs in countries where spaying is only done for medical reasons, breeders and whatever other reason you might have to owning an unspayed dog

Im getting a female puppy soon and want to wait till shes about ~1.5-2 years old to decide to get her spayed

Ive done research on signs and symptoms of pyometra, but every source i find about prevention always just says spay them and thats it

Breeders? (UK and/or ireland)

I'm looking to get a standard poodle in the nearby future and have been looking at breeders

ideally ones that have a litter planned within the next year or two that do all relevant health testing!!
ive already found quite a few breeders, just asking to cover all my bases tbh :]
