What makes Japan's Kunisaki well suited to support the Indonesia's wildfires?

I saw in the news that Japan is sending the Kunisaki to assist us with the wildfires in Kalimantan, along with three helicopters and hundreds of personnel. I know my family and I are really grateful for Japan's assistance, and I thought it would be interesting to learn more about the ship being used for this mission. This is also the first time that Japan is supporting an overseas firefighting operation.

I understand why a military transport ship would be useful for moving the equipment, people and resources for the operation, but I am curious about the choice of this specific ship.

Does anyone have any ideas into what makes this specific ship particularly suitable for this kind of disaster response operation?

Singapore overtaken by Ningbo-Zhoushan as second busiest container port in H1

  • With Shanghai still retaining the top rank of the world's busiest port, China's Ningbo Zhoushan has overtaken Singapore to be the world's second busiest container port so far this year.
  • The difference in container traffic was slim, with China's port handling 22.9 million TEUs and Singapore handling 22.7 million TEUs. Given the small difference in TEU's and this is only the results of the first half of the year it is still possible that Singapore could retain the world's second busiest port ranking.
  • Despite the overtake in rankings, Singapore's container throughput increased by up to 4.7% year on year.

What is the strangest film you have ever been gifted?

My uncle used to travel to travel a lot for work and once brought me back Congo on DVD. No idea why he chose Congo of all films.

What is the most random film a family member has ever given you?

Shout out to Tim Curry, though. Rest in Peace. He was one of the funnier and more memorable characters in the movie, alongside that talking gorilla.

Anyone else thinking of signing up for Disney Run Jakarta?

I had no idea that there was going to be a Disney race in Jakarta this November. I am honestly thinking of signing up purely because medals and shirts look so cool.

I have never done one of these runs before, but it looks there a few different distances you can sign up for. Has anyone here done a previous Disney Run? Is it actually worth doing?

Planning to go to the Vegan festival in Jakarta - any recommendations on food to try and stalls to visit?

I became vegan earlier this year, and I'm planning on going to Jakarta's Vegan Festival in October.

Has anyone been to one of the previous festivals? Are there any stalls, brands or foods that you would recommend?

Does Ralph Fiennes' The Return have a stronger dialogue and better characters than The Odyssey?

I just watched Ralph Fiennes' The Return, and despite it being a bit slow, I was surprised at how much better it was than The Odyssey at portraying brutality violence and fear. If anything, the characters in The Return actually felt like they actually had depth and motivations.

Don't get me wrong, The Odyssey was definitely more entertaining but I just felt like the dialogue in that film definitely lets down the cast, compared to the The Return.

Will we ever get a proper live action Killer Croc

If Clayface is a success, do you think Gunn will finally give us a proper live action Killer Croc in a DC movie or even as a major role in a Batman movie.

Is anyone else surprised there isn't as much hype for The End of Oak Street?

I know Spiderman and The Odyssey have effectively destroyed all competition at the box office lately, but I am just shocked that an original movie concept like The End of Oak Street is barely getting any attention online.

To be clear, the AI dog thing was more than bizarre, but I am surprised that there isn't more people talking about this film, given how big dinosaur movies are.
