I am currently on Topamax but have been experiencing meanness and verbal agitation while on it. My provider was considering switching me to Lamictal but in reading up on it it also has this as a potential side effect. Is anyone on a med for which this is not a potential side effect? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Has anyone else experienced verbal outbursts that seemingly come out of nowhere while taking Topamax? I have noticed it has caused irritability and meanness for me for no reason and it is the only common denominator. I hate who I have become and don’t want to be like this. I feel completely hopeless.
