You know that one course you walked into thinking, "How hard can this be?" only for it to absolutely destroy your confidence by the end of the semester.

Which course was it for you, and what made it so brutal? Was it the professor, the grading, the assignments, the pace, or the fact that everyone else somehow seemed to understand what was going on?

I’ve seen a lot of discussions about academics, research opportunities, and placements, but I’m curious about the things that usually don’t show up in brochures or YouTube videos.

For current students and alumni, what was something about IISER life that surprised you after joining? It could be about academics, hostel life, professors, research culture, friendships, campus life, or anything else.
