Did, actually, roll into the shop under its own power

new customer. 2018 Chevrolet Trax, 69,000km, 1.4L ecotec. Would love to know how long they ignored the engine rattle other than “long enough to wear grooves into the one timing chain guide bolt before it broke off”

this month’s edition of “everything comes in multiples”: CAN bus failures

Today’s episode features a 2011 Grand Caravan. Initial complaint was that the wipers were operating their own, etc. Customer rescheduled a couple times. Had it to at least 2 other shops. Electrical issues escalated. They replaced the battery, TIPM x2. No dice. So it comes to us.

The culprit? Power liftgate module.

Couple weeks back had a 2019 Santa Fe, every light was on the dash, collision avoidance systems inoperable, shift indicator was reading R in D, D in P, no speedo/odometer. That one was the back up camera (significantly less melted but still the cause)
