Seems like these have been popping up all over Austin lately, but figured I’d share in case anyone is still looking. Cheers!

Stopped by Specs North Mopac today and noticed a few interesting bottles still sitting on the shelf for anyone in the Austin area.
Picked up:
Penelope Rivera – $69.99
Penelope Architects of Golf – $54.99

Has anyone tried any of these bottles? What were your thoughts?

Stopped by TL Burnet today and scored an EH Taylor Barrel Proof for $99.

Also learned they just rolled out a loyalty program. If you sign up, they’re currently giving a $10 credit on non-alcoholic items. I used mine on a whiskey tasting glass and ended up paying about $3 out of pocket.

While I was there, I chatted with one of the sales associates (super nice guy). He mentioned they’re discussing the possibility of eventually tying allocated bottles to the loyalty program and potentially using it as an allocation priority system, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

Spec’s Austin might still be sitting on some heat 👀

Not sure how much inventory they actually have, but after I grabbed mine they replenished the shelf again. If you get there and don’t see anything, ask the lady sitting next to the display/showing area — she might check the back and bring more out.
