D.O. 4th year. What are the chances I match anesthesia?

Step 2 253, Step 1 Pass

Level 2 620, Level 1 Pass

4 Honors, 1 High Pass, 1 Pass core rotations. Top 1/4 class for preclinical years.

Will have 1 LOR from community anesthesiologist. 1 OBGYN. 1 Gen Surg. Should all be strong.

I've been a solid D.O. student but haven't done lots of research or volunteering in medical school. Been focusing on academics.

I'll apply broadly, signal D.O. friendly schools that are within my reach. Any other advice? Thanks in advance.

I'm a 4th-year med student applying to anesthesia. I've got above average step/level scores and have done well on core rotations. Not 100% I'll match this cycle, but anesthesia is what I want to do. If I don't match, I'll complete a TY/Gen Surg/Medicine intern year and will reapply. Two Q's.

1. Is it likely/possible to match Anesthesia after completing flight surgery?

2. Is TY/Surg/Med intern year preferred for a reapplicant to Anesthesia?
