1985 by SR-71 is wayyyyyyy better than Bowling For Soups version. I think its safe to say that Bowling For Soup has little to no talent at all when it comes to making big independent pop punk hits, and their biggest hits are songs they got gifted and covered, and they all sound generic and somehow get popular. I feel bad for Mitch Allan, considering the song that was supposed to be his got more popular by a band that how claims the title of “Biggest Hit 1985” And in both versions, theres a clear distinction of Sr-71’s version where it feels as if we’re hearing a story from heart, and the stolen BFS’s version..
