I am planning to buy a QSW-M7230P-2X4F24T-US switch and it will be my first QNAP device.
When I am browsing Amazon for 100g transceivers I see the usual firmwares: Intel, Cisco, Mellanox, etc but I cannot see Qnap.
What transceiver modules are compatible with Qnap switches?
Currently I am running my Protect application on my UDM Pro Max that has a 8TB NAS drive in it.
I have this setup for a while now with 6 cameras plus a G4 Doorbell Pro PoE and I am not happy with the performance of the Protect application.
Seeking thru any old footage is very slow to start. Many times I need to give up as it will just keep loading forever instead of starting the playback.
Was wondering if I buy an UNVR would my Unifi system "switch over" the Protect application to it?
My hope would be to get better perfromance if the Protect is running on its own machine instead of sharing the UDM with the Network app.
