Any Seafarers, Deck or Engine department doesn't matter. Hoping to Socialize with atleast with my Mates from Sea!!!
Hey guys, 3rd Mate here from Anglo Eastern sailing on Chemical tankers and as a Seafarer living in Mangalore who has moved here for the past 6 years, I am facing this difficult problem of socialising. Being a seafarer itself means that I'm only 4 or 5 months here, but those months are extremely boring and restless cuz its a complete opposite to what we face on the ship. I used to live in Mumbai previously, but due to family issues we shifted to Mangalore as my parents are from Karnataka. And i have learnt kannada and a very bit of tulu, its still very difficult for me to socialize here as there aren't much ways to do so here. Also I'm an extrovert cuz it takes me no time to make or even know people in Mumbai, but here idk. The friends I had during my 11th & 12th are all moving abroad or to Bangalore or Manipal and hardly i get time or they have the time to hangout.
So i was hoping that if any fellow Seafarers can give me some advice or even be ready to hangout during our sign offs, I would appreciate that.

Anyone have any idea about this Event happening on 8th Aug by Mangalore Social Club
I visited their account through Instagram and as boring Mangalore is, i got excited that someone took this initiative but I'm not sure whether it's legit. By the way, they are not the same establishment as the Mangalore club in Morgansgate.
