Hi y’all I’m back 😋 my 6th month notification went off yesterday and I was shocked the time has flown so quickly! I’m on retie #4 since I did a retie retwist combo before going to Japan this summer, but I dyed my hair right after(dumb, but it was so overgrown I wanted to do it before washing) and it looked like I never touched it fr 😩 I’m starting to see some more length and my hair doesn’t shrink as much as before, though it still shrinks a good bit. Before my retie I was feeling a bit insecure cause it felt so short and messy but now it looks better and I feel cute again!! I would loveeee to get more of my length back cause the shrinkage is evilllll.

Even with applying so late, I put my heart and soul into the application and I’m excited to say that I’ve been accepted to Duke’s Master of Applied Ethics and Policy (Bioethics) program !!!

For extra context on me (22, Black, Female), I applied to law schools, struck out everywhere and applied to this program because it’s been the one thing I was wanting so badly. I initially was going for a dual degree JD and this program but after denial from the law school I just applied solo. Idk if I’ll still aim for a dual degree, most likely I think I’ll just focus on clinical and research experience and see about work after, then do law school :p
