The source material is a drumline show composition

I wrote called Tribus Electronica. Tribal energy,

fast triplets, hocket structure, groove. About 75%

of the harmonic and rhythmic DNA in this track

comes from that original piece.

I used Suno as part of the production workflow

to realize the arrangement — AI-assisted, but

built from original compositional ideas.

What's in it:

- Virtuosic Korg Kronos-style synth performance

- Complex structured sections with dynamic arc

- Tight syncopated drums and fretless bass

- Extended synth solo with pitch bends and runs

- Atmospheric breakdown before the finale

- Full band climax

Been exploring a cinematic neo-soul / nocturnal jazz fusion sound inspired by:

• Sade
• Paul Simon’s Graceland textures
• modern soul-jazz
• late-night Rhodes piano
• atmospheric horn arrangements
• deep half-time grooves

This track blends:
intimate female vocals,
warm horn sections,
flugelhorn textures,
melodic bass movement,
analog synth atmosphere,
and sophisticated nighttime jazz harmony.

“Lorelei” takes inspiration from the classic myth, but reframes it into something modern:
the feeling of being emotionally pulled beneath someone’s gravity in the middle of a quiet city night.

The harmonic progression, melodic ideas, emotional themes, structure, and arrangement direction were originally developed by me, then expanded through AI-assisted composition workflows using tools like Suno.

Trying to use AI less like a shortcut and more like a collaborative instrument inside a larger compositional process.

Would genuinely love feedback from people into:

or sophisticated fusion textures.

I’ve been building out a series called “Transmissions” — each track is meant to feel like a place or state you step into.

This one is called Breaking the Surface.

The idea was:

• starting beneath the water (still, heavy, ambient)
• gradually rising into movement and light (more structure, more intention)

This is also the first track where I leaned more into original composition and direction, instead of letting it stay purely ambient/generative.

Trying to find that balance between:

• atmosphere
• and something that actually goes somewhere

Would love feedback on:
• Does the transition come through clearly?
• Does it feel more intentional than typical ambient?
• Too subtle, or just right?

Appreciate any thoughts — still refining the direction of this series.

I’ve been experimenting with a different workflow lately:

I start with rough melody and rhythm ideas (usually just humming or simple patterns), then use AI tools to expand those into full tracks. After that, I focus on arranging everything into a continuous mix so it feels more like a live set than separate songs.

The goal is something that can go from calm focus into higher energy — something you can actually sit with while working, coding, or even training.

Still figuring out the balance, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback on whether the transitions and progression feel natural or not.
