What's wrong with my chilli plant?

Why is it only growing tall but no branches?

Should I prune it at the top?

Picture 3 is back in April.

First time gardening: wild flowers

2nd photo was in April before sowing

3rd photo was in early June

4th photo is early July

5th is from yesterday (July)

First time sowing wild flowers in my very first garden. I enjoyed them so much as did my toddler. It's been delightful for us to sit and just enjoy watching the "bombolees" as my toddler refers to them.
