Spinning in the dark (late night socials)

Hi y'all! Perhaps a silly question. I feel like I am good at spotting turns when the lights are on in the ballroom. But as soon as the lights are low for late night socials, I lose some spatial awareness, and spotting turns, or even following ducks, becomes a lot harder.

Does anyone have tips for improving spatial awareness or balance when lights are low? I mostly just dont want to bump someone by accidentally going off slot or by getting tippy, especially when it is really crowded...

Single protein kidney-safe cat food for a medically complex cat

Hello. We have a 10 year old 13 pound cat. We got him about a year ago. He has mild kidney disease, low potassium (now on a supplement), high blood pressure (on amlodepine), a mild heart murmur that is not progressing, an allergy to most dry foods (per the rescue we got him from), and FIV.

And, now, the issue I am asking about. He has been throwing up a little bit daily (a mix of bile and a bit of food) since December. He hasn't been losing weight, and he is still excited to eat, he has just been eating more slowly as the last months have gone by). Our vet did bloodwork early on (all values looked good except potassium, which was low - that is also when we found out about the FIV). They recommended a potassium supplement, which he has been on for months, and he is still vomiting. They thought he might have IBD, so prescribed us the z/d prescription wet food, which we tried for two months, and he was still vomiting nearly daily, so we switched him back to the kidney food he was on before the z/d food (royal canin e loaf). We finally got an ultrasound yesterday, and it sounds like he might have some motility issues in his stomach (his intestines looked fine).

They recommended trying the royal canin selected protein pr (rabbit food), and then if that doesn't help, try cisapride medication. However. WOW. We thought the kidney food was expensive, then we thought the z/d food was expensive, and the pr food is even more!! It is $110 for a case of 24, and he gets 1 3/4 cans a day...

Since his kidney disease is fairly mild, the vet felt trying the z/d or pr foods would be ok as long as we monitor his bloodwork. Are there other nonprescription rabbit-only foods that are not specific to kidney issues, but also that don't have crazy high phosphorus values? We want to support our cat the best we can, but between his heart, kidney, and digestive issues (in addition to some upcoming dental work that he needs), we are struggling. The cisapride is only 30 a month, so that is definitely doable...

He already sees a cardiologist once a year, but perhaps it is time to find a dietician or internal medicine specialist for him?

Thanks for any and all advice.
