I'm 5'6" with size 15 feet due to growth hormone issue when I was a kid

Big feet and hands run in my family but usually with the height to accompany it. I had a pituitary gland tumour as a teenager (cured now) that affected my height so now I have disproportionately large hands and feet and look like a Hobbit. Apparently I am in the 99.7 percentile of foot size relative to height. Swimming is great but shoe shopping is awkward.

And yes the myth is true. My bunny slippers are also quite big.

I'm 5'6" with size 15 feet

Big feet and hands run on both sides of my family usually with the proportional height too but I ended up being the runt of the litter. This means I'm a crazy biometric outlier (see graph attached)

It does help with swimming and balance but I do have to endure awkward interactions when shopping for new shoes. Anyone else have a weird body quirk?

(And in case you're wondering the myth is true I do have big socks)

I'm 6'3" (191 cm) and wear a men's US size 6 / EU 39 shoe

Most men my height wear around a US size 12 shoe. Strangely, I wear a size 6. My parents both have small feet but not at my level. No, other than my hands no other part of my body is affected (I know what you're thinking)

I plotted myself against a height–shoe size regression line from US military biometrics statistics and ended up over six shoe sizes below what's predicted for my height. A real genetic anomaly.

Chart attached. Has anyone seen a stranger body-proportion mismatch than this?

Greetings from a biometric outlier!

I've always been told my proportions are unusual, so I wanted to see how statistically odd this combination actually is in true nerd fashion. This graph models the relationship between male height and US men's shoe size using anthropometric population averages and published stature/foot-length correlation research (roughly based on NHANES-style datasets and studies showing a moderate positive correlation between height and foot length).

Average adult male:

Height: 5'9"-510" (175-178 cm) Shoe size: ~US 10-11

Me:

Height: 6'1" (185 cm)

Shoe size: US men's 6

So I'm significantly taller than average while also having feet that are dramatically smaller than average for male populations.

The orange X is me.

I knew it was unusual socially, but didn't realise how far off the regression line l'd sit until plotted it.

Any other nerds with an interest in biometric statistics?
