when i was around 10, i lived in a super remote area, so small it didnt come up on the weather channel. If we were going to be closed for snow, for instance, we would just see if the town next to us was closed for snow because our town wasn't on there. there was basically just a school, a gas station, a pizza/movie rental/arcade, a dry goods store, and a restaurant. after that, a lot of cows and forests. you had to drive 45 min to get to a grocery store and people didnt have money for any kind of entertainment.

i was outside in a swing reading calvin and hobbes comics. i saw a small airplane high overhead. then there were two. then more. they were swooping around like they were doing aerial tricks. it felt like they were right over me. i watched them til i got too hot to stay outside (at least an hour) and waved frantically hoping they could see me. i never saw anything like it. i wonder if they came out to a remote area to practice? i was a pretty lonely kid so it was always a nice memory. i always hoped they saw me down there in the clearing in the forest and they saw me wave.

(we didnt have internet out there so i never looked anything up to see if something was happening nearby.)

I’ve had a Phillips Sonicare for a few years now. For a long time I kept it on its charger when not in use. In March 2025, I went on vacation and forgot the charger. No big deal. If it ran out of battery I would just brush without turning it on. Well, it didn’t run out of battery. For giggles, I decided to see how long I could go without charging before the battery would die.

My friends, it has been 18 months and my toothbrush still works despite never charging it. I thought for a while that maybe it was conducting energy from my husband’s toothbrush charger at the other end of our vanity, so I moved it.

The toothbrush still works. I am at a loss!

I made a post about a merman sighting I encountered in the Paranormal community in reddit, but it got removed for 'creative writing'.  I'm Native American Indian/white, so we have been brought up with respect for nature.  I have so many water encounters, but I'd like to know about everyone else around the world with human/fish beings experiences.   

My ancestors carry a tradition about water and food.  My brother in law always took food to the water if any of us had a dream about water.   When I asked him about it, he told me a story about my tribe that happened over a thousand years ago.  A prince went missing, so the Chief and his Queen asked about the whereabouts of their little boy.  A woman with spiritual abilities took the matter into her own hands and went into the water.  She entered the Water Kingdom and asked the leaders where the young prince was.  I won't go into details, but they had their own excuse of why they took him.  He wasn't being looked after and he looked neglected,  so the water people took him.   She saw them eating him, and they told her if they find any children alone they will take care of them.  

Not sure which community to take this to because it's weird and I doubt there's an answer. But I just moved into a house and the temp never felt right, so I tried to see if my thermostat was accurate. I have this antique thermometer I've had for years and suddenly it's stuck at one temp. Like ok it's old stuff happens. My dad brings over a thermometer he has, next day it becomes obvious it's broken. I buy a new thermometer it goes crazy but maybe it was just a dud. I get another thermometer that we know for sure definitely works because it had the correct temp at my dad's double checked by other's and take it to my house and it doesn't work right anymore, take it back to his house and it's fine. I finally just say screw it and replace my thermostat and the temp feels more like it should.

Then I just got sick so bought a thermometer for myself and the first time I use it it's accurate. Next time I go it's telling me I'm dead. Like every kind of thermometer I bring into this house stops working. I'm honestly going to take this one to check my temp to someone else's house and see if it magically starts back working there. Either I'm on some crazy magnetic field or it's haunted by a ghost that doesn't want me to be able to know the temp. It's crazy.
