Not sure which community to take this to because it's weird and I doubt there's an answer. But I just moved into a house and the temp never felt right, so I tried to see if my thermostat was accurate. I have this antique thermometer I've had for years and suddenly it's stuck at one temp. Like ok it's old stuff happens. My dad brings over a thermometer he has, next day it becomes obvious it's broken. I buy a new thermometer it goes crazy but maybe it was just a dud. I get another thermometer that we know for sure definitely works because it had the correct temp at my dad's double checked by other's and take it to my house and it doesn't work right anymore, take it back to his house and it's fine. I finally just say screw it and replace my thermostat and the temp feels more like it should.

Then I just got sick so bought a thermometer for myself and the first time I use it it's accurate. Next time I go it's telling me I'm dead. Like every kind of thermometer I bring into this house stops working. I'm honestly going to take this one to check my temp to someone else's house and see if it magically starts back working there. Either I'm on some crazy magnetic field or it's haunted by a ghost that doesn't want me to be able to know the temp. It's crazy.

I have a very little dog and a huge yard, she uses the bathroom in the yard the vast majority of the time. But she's also going out of her way to walk over to the driveway and poop on it. I would almost understand if it was under the overhang and she was protecting herself from the weather. But it's way out in the open so there's no real reason I can come up with for why she's doing this. I just would like to know if there's anything I can do to deter her from going there.

So I have a new house with a swinging gate to the backyard but the driveway goes past the gate to a more level area and where I could easily turn around. But it would be nice if I didn't have to get out of the car to open the gate every time. I know there's things out there to make them automatic but all the ones I've found are for sliding gates. Are there any for swinging gates?

I read it forever ago on an app and I can't find it again. The woman was like late 30s maybe 40. She had kids and was divorced and ends up having like a one night stand with 3 younger guys who she later finds out are her boss' sons. It also turns out her boss is total scum who has been trying to hook up with her even though he's married and starts a bunch of drama when he finds out she's been with his sons.

And really anything with a similar vibe is a welcomed recommendation.
