All 25 21st Century Men's Wimbledon Finals Ranked.

Just before the start of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships, just thought about how I would rank the Wimbledon Men's Singles Finals since 2000 as there have been 25 so far.

  1. 2002 (Hewitt defeated Nalbandian 6-1, 6-3, 6-2). Just a forgettable predictable one-sided final.

  2. 2017 (Federer defeated Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4). Most disappointing final but Federer was on another level that year. Cilic's injury made it a non-contest though.

  3. 2018 (Djokovic defeated Anderson 6-2, 6-2, 7-6). Obviously Anderson was spent but a competitive third set ranked it above the other two.

  4. 2010 (Nadal defeated Berdych 6-3, 7-5, 6-4). Competitive in all three sets but Nadal was never losing this one.

  5. 2024 (Alcaraz defeated Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6). Only this high because Djokovic was on the receiving end and Alcaraz struggled over the line in the third.

  6. 2005 (Federer defeated Roddick 6-2, 7-6, 6-4). This was just Federer at his best and Roddick had no chance.

  7. 2003 (Federer defeated Philippoussis 7-6, 6-2, 7-6). Most notable for being Federer's first major win but that is all this final is remembered for.

  8. 2021 (Djokovic vs Berrettini 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3). Was entertaining but taking out the straight set finals, this one was the weakest. Djokovic really should have done this in three sets tbh.

  9. 2022 (Djokovic defeated Kyrgios 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6). Good match but the scoreline sort of tells the story of the match.

  10. 2011 (Djokovic defeated Nadal 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3). Maybe low for some people but compared to the other finals, this had two easy sets and that has to hurt it's ranking.

  14. 2006 (Federer defeated Nadal 6-0, 7-6, 6-7, 6-3). A proper this is my house moment. Federer showing Nadal who is the best on grass and setting the stage for the next two years.

  15. 2013 (Murray defeated Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4). The background to this match raises it this high tbf. The pressure Murray overcome is stuff of legend. The only appropriate way that the drought could be broken by beating the World Number One in straight sets. That final game as well.

  16. 2004 (Federer defeated Roddick 4-6, 7-5, 7-6, 6-4). Excellent battle. Roddick at his servebot and forehand best and Federer confirming himself as the best player in the world.

  17. 2000 (Sampras defeating Rafter 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 6-2). This was a perfect end to the Sampras era. Finishing in the dead of night. Breaking the then GS record.

  18. 2012 (Federer defeated Murray 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4). Murray throwing everything at Federer. Federer's class keeping him in the game. Outdoors then indoors. Federer equalling Sampras' Wimbledon record. Excellent final.

  19. 2019 (Djokovic defeated Federer 7-6, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6, 13-12). Should have been Federer's last title but it wasn't the best match if we are being honest. Only this high because it went five sets.

  23. 2007 (Federer defeated Nadal 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2). Another high-quality final which Nadal should have won. The first hawkeye final. Federer's clutch serving enabling him to complete his five in a row.

  24. 2009 (Federer defeated Roddick 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 3-6, 16-14). The servebot final, the endless final. Roddick suffering the toughest defeat ever. Federer breaking Sampras' GS record and getting redemption for 2008.

1.2008 (Nadal defeated Federer 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7). The Greatest Match Ever.

Idea for a final week mission similar to the chessboard.

In a similar vein to the Chessboard in UK3, US3 and UKC1 and the Jack in the Box in UK3 and US4, I had an idea for a F8-F10 mission.

A series of questions over water with trapdoors with an answer linking to each remaining player. Once a player has been used as an answer, they can't be used again. The Traitors have to select the answers beforehand. Each player has to volunteer in order to have the chance to answer. Each correct answer adds £1000 to the pot. They can discuss what they think the answer is with all players. If a player gets it wrong, they are out and get dunked in the water. First one over gets a shield.

I think this would be a good time to do the mission because the players would have built bonds with each other. Would the Traitors answer honestly? When would someone go? Could it catch a Traitor that pushes for a certain answer?

Has any Traitor won without having had at least one strong co-Traitor?

Basically has any Traitor that has actually managed to win done it effectively by themselves? All versions I have seen that has led to a Traitor win (or should have led to a win), they were paired with one strong Traitor at some point.

AUS1 Alex had Nigel, Marielle and Kate.

NZ2 Bailey had Siale.

UK2 Harry had Paul, Miles and Andrew.

US1 Cirie had Christian and Arie.

CAN1 Mike had Kuzie

CAN2 Neda had Kyra.

UKC1 Alan had Jonathan and Cat.

UK4 Rachel and Stephen had each other.

US4 Rob had Candiace and Eric.

*UK1 Wilf had Amanda.

Does it show that no Traitor can win without any help from a fellow strong Traitor?

In series that ended in Faithful wins, which Traitor had the greatest impact in making that happen?

Essentially which Traitor caused the biggest impact in causing the Faithfuls as a side to win not necessarily the Faithfuls who did win the game?

My thoughts.

UK1: Kieran. The most obvious one, Wilf would have won without the parting gift.

US2: Dan. He sunk all three Traitors in one round.

US3: Danielle. She didn't need to throw Carolyn under the bus and it swung the game in the Faithfuls' favour.

NZ1: Robbie. Her parting wink caught Dan who no-one suspected of being a Traitor and he and Brooke likely would have won.

UK3: Minah. She left too many Faithful alliances in the game and I think with the seer twist, it would have made a Traitor win almost impossible.

Ireland 1: Eamon. He sunk all three Traitors with his daytime turret and gave all of them away to Oyin.

CAN3: Kevin. He pulled a Dan on Coco.

Best and Worst Roundtable Performances

What have been some of the best and worst performances at the Roundtable either by Faithfuls or Traitors? Can be based on information that they brought up, took down a Traitor, got themselves out of banishment, got themselves banished, lost a key ally.

Some of the Best for me: Wilfred (UK1, EP.6), Harry (UK2, EP.7 and EP.8), Freddie, Alexander, Charlotte and Francesca (UK3, EP.10), Oyin (Ire1, EP.5), Rachel (UK4, EP.7), Alan (UKC1, EP.7), Phaedra (US2, EP.6 and EP.9), CT (US2, EP.9), Rob (US4, EP.7, EP.8, EP.10 and EP.11).

Some of the Worst for me: Kieran (UK1, EP.12), Dan (UK3, EP.6), Freddie (UK3, EP.11), Bob the Drag Queen (US3, EP.4), Dan (US2, EP.5 and EP.6), Eamon (Ire1, EP.5), Katelyn (Ire1, EP.5 and EP.6), Candiace (US4, EP.7 and EP.8), Sarah (AUS2, EP.8 and EP.9), Harriet (UK4, EP.7), Britney (US3, EP.10).
