And if I do have to cut one, which one? Also will this thing produce fruit? It’s from the grocery store lol

HELP hahaha I'm a sub in California working through an agency called Swing Education, and I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience.
I filed for unemployment on May 31. I received my Notice of Unemployment Insurance Award, and my UI Online account shows an active claim with a weekly benefit amount and claim balance, but I've never been given the option to certify for benefits. It just says there are no weeks available to certify, and no payments have been issued.
I've been trying to call EDD for over a week, but of course the phone system is always unavailable.
A few weeks after I filed, Swing sent me a Reasonable Assurance letter saying I could return next school year. The thing is, my work isn't guaranteed. Assignments are posted in the app on a first-come, first-served basis, and there were long stretches where I couldn't get any work over the summer.
Has anyone had a claim where they were never given the option to certify? Did it end up being an eligibility review, an interview, or something else? Is there anything I can do besides continuing to call EDD?
I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has filed while working through Swing or another substitute staffing agency. Thanks!
