Advice for working as a Seasonal
Recently, I was lucky enough to be onboarded as a seasonal member at a GameStop. The manager of the store offered me seasonal because he already hired keyholders, and he sees my potential from the interview we had prior, even though I don't have any retail or sales experience yet. He also said there's a chance I could become a full-on member later on if I am successful enough during my time there. I did the onboarding and documentation, and they even said that I should expect to start working sometime soon this September.
I'm very willing to learn all of the ropes, be as proactive as I can, and hopefully earn a full-time position if possible. (I know working at GS isn't the best paying job out there, but it works for me and my current circumstances) As I wait, I am considering making a backup plan elsewhere, seeing as they might not give me many hours at first, especially if they decide to move on with other people after my period. I'm willing to take any tips, advice or other knowledge in the meantime. :]
