General Advice

Hi Everyone!
I am a beginner astrophotographer, and i’m looking to improve my skills, I’m hoping to get any advice you are willing to give, whether it’s shooting settings or for post processing and editing! I would also like to know a bit more about stacking and if it’s worth doing/tips for how to do it. I have attached my first real attempt at astrophotography, and advice/criticism is welcome!

For reference, I have a canon eosR50 at the moment, I shot this photo on a 50mm 1.8f lense, I’m a willing to buy new lenses and accessories and such that will help me improve.

I’m looking to shoot shots like this one with an interesting foreground such as mountains or other natural features mainly, and also dabble with silhouettes in the foreground and whatnot, I’m also looking to shoot the milky way galactic core.

In direct reference to this photo, I’m not sure if I did a great job bringing out the stars and details in it, and I feel like I maybe cluttered up the image and made it kind of grainy if that makes sense. I adjusted it a lot to bring out the foreground and the brightness of the stars in the background in adobe lightroom. I also think that there may have been too much light pollution on the ridgeline which i’m not the most happy with but can’t really change (I shot this about 70km northwest of Torino Italy) I used 1.8f aperture at a 6 second exposure single shot on this.
