I’m building an app where songwriters can sell demos/songs to artists. (Marketplace)

Producers have BeatStars, Airbit, TrakTrain, but I always found it weird there's no platform centered around moving actual records. Songwriters should be able to make a living the same way producers do.

Major artists work with talented writers all the time, but most independent artists do not have the same opportunity/direct network. On the flip side, landing placements also does not guarantee income. The industry has a long history of not paying them alot of the time.

The core idea is that writers set their own prices and sell full songs, hooks, or toplines directly to artists. They’d then be able to record said song themselves, and release it on DSP’s.

I want honest takes from both sides

artists, would you buy a song or demo this way? And songwriters, is this something you'd genuinely want? Would you actually host your songs on a platform to sell them?

Brutally honest answers welcome
