Separated dads of Ireland?

Separated dads of Ireland. Have any of you moved away for a considerable time and not regretted it or have you found it massively painfull? I won't go into the full story but bad break up she's in the house. I'm currently between van and mother's when I have sleep overs once every 2 weeks. Looking at rent for space for me and kids is looking at about 1600 a month, for a kip, which is over 70% of wages after maintenance. Can't get council help as on mortgage. Former partner is controlling access pushing back constantly when trying to get more access. Threating, abusive and violent before after and during break up. My company has a factory in Spain and I said jokingly a few weeks ago I wouldn't mind a transfer over and my supervisor who knows the story and is sound said he was talking to the HR and they said if I was serious I could go about it. Everything over there seems better and I wouldn't mind the break. How was your head when you did it? We're you wrecked with guilt and shame? Just seems no future here anymore. Please don't get into the weather and wild fires because that's 1 month outta 12 I can live with. And before anyone says it I have exhausted every avenue to try and help partner more but iv been blocked and I can't afford to go private constantly through solicitors
