Something in the wall (loud , headphone users beware)

Last night about 10 pm , as the house was winding down to go to sleep, we heard a scratching noise, followed by this sound. We're pretty sure it's some kind of animal that fell inside of the wall. What I'm wondering is , has anyone heard anything like this before?
