How is the Asian male experience in Hostels?

I've been reading about travelers experiences from partying, to meeting new people, and yes to the sex, etc. in hostels mainly in the EU/SE Asia and from reading various posts, the hostel culture seems "tribal" to a degree. I am curious (maybe even taking a trip in the near future) if AM are "accepted" in a way and in the same way when they do join those same hostels as other western folks. Is racism an issue? Are people inclusive towards AM? Are AM "accepted" or excluded?

how to politely refuse a spot?

Hear me out, not trying to be a deuche as I understand the gym is a judgementfree zone, improvement zone, etc. however, I feel I have become someone's personal spotter. The first few times I allowed as it was no big deal. Now ongoing for several months now, this person would go out of their way to finding only me through all the "crevices" and cracks just to have me spot him, even though plenty of folks are around. Its gotten to the point where its VERY consistent and some times I have literally just arrived, not even started my work out and out of no where he would appear asking me for a spot. No gym ettiquette and definitely "overstayed his welcome" in terms of my assistance. Its also gotten to the point where its irritating and annoying.
