Demeter needs a rethink : Arcadian Meadow could be much more interesting
Right now Demeter feels like she is in a really bad spot. From the stats I’m seeing, she is sitting around a 37% win rate, and it seems to keep going down. That is honestly a shame, especially since she is part of paid DLC content.
I don’t think the answer should just be random buffs. Demeter has an interesting identity, but some of her tools feel underwhelming or poorly connected to that identity. One ability that could be redesigned in a much more interesting way is Arcadian Meadow.
Idea 1: Arcadian Meadow should also boost economy inside its area of effect.
For example, if you cast it on a gold mine, it should stop fighting in that area as it does now, but also give an economic boost to gold miners. If you cast it on farms, it should boost farming gather rate. If you cast it near woodlines, it could improve wood gathering. This would make the god power more flexible and strategic instead of feeling like a very situational “stop fighting here” button.
Idea 2: Units fighting near natural resources should gain extra armor or other military bonus
This would fit Demeter’s theme really well. Her army could become stronger when defending or fighting around nature and resources, without just giving her boring raw stat buffs everywhere. It would also create interesting map-control decisions around gold mines, forests, hunt, berries, and farms.
Persephone need completely rework and i am not sure what it can be done on her right now.
