About to pull the trigger - last questions

About to pull the trigger on a late 2024 J1.2 4s CT, £80k. First EV, first Porsche… I’m nervous! Still worried about how long these cars will last and the reports of constant problems, as well as the lack of range.

Someone please tell me not all of these are lemons and some haven’t had issues, even into age? I tend to keep my cars for around 10 years. Seeing all these posts with cars braking down is leaving me scared.

Range, driving carefully, 300mi from 100% must be possible on the 20s and in range mode…? Surely? BMW releasing the neue Klasse with 500 mile range makes me scared I’m buying into old tech and these will be worthless soon.

UK roads… is the car simply too big for country lanes? This one has RAS, so at least this helps with parking.

2024 (MY25, J1.2) 4S CT buying advice

Hi all, considering buying my first Porsche and EV and have my eyes on a well specced late 2024 (MY25, J1.2) 4S CT with 20 inch wheels and the off road pack..

I have a few questions before I pull the trigger:

- WTLP is 367 miles. Is a real world 300mi drive on a full charge doable in the CT with the 105kw battery? Assuming 15 degrees plus, road trip on high ways and driving reasonably?
- the car seems very well specced with rear axle steering, glass roof, 4+1 seats, 14 memory seats, HD matrix, Bose, adaptive cruise, blind spot assist. Is there anything else that’s considered important I may be missing? For me personally, I want Bose, the glass roof and rear axle due to a tight driveway
- Driving a lot of rentals, I’m worried about the safety features on modern cars as they are such a mission to switch off on some cars taking minutes before you can get going, and resetting every time you restart the car - attention monitoring, lane correction, collision prevention and speed limit warning. How bad are they on the Taycan, and how easy is it to switch them off? Are we talking single button with a shortcut, or diving into deep menus for several minutes. This is for a European model.
- this car has the passenger display. I don’t want a passenger scrolling through my or sending emails/messages while I am driving. I just know my teenage kids will do whatever they can to cause havoc. Does this link to the main phone which is connected or can it be disabled?
- this is from a main dealer. What is a good discount to try and negotiate, or are these selling at asking currently?

Thanks in advance
