Thank you for all the advice over the past few days! I finally pulled the trigger and bought this 2024 Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo CPO. It has 18,000 miles, a warranty through October 2031, all the packages I wanted, and brand new wheels. See the last photo for the full specs! It is super annoying that Taycan J1.1 (2020 - 2024) doesn't remember your seat heating or ventilation after 10minutes of left idle/parked.
Every other porsche does this right, I wasn't sure why Taycan doesn't. So decided to take matters into own hands and started looking for possibility of coding this.
I used Thinkdiag2 to code my taycan.
found that coding is under "Air conditioning" ECU section. seat heating setting memory type chip1 internal end stage or its German equivalent: Sitzheizung Speicher
Default value was 10minutes, changed it to Active.
Changing it to active makes it remember your last heat/ventilation setting forever (until you change it). This is how other cars do it.
Bought my ‘23 Taycan used and the front bumper was scraped up, like many of us have accidentally done in cars when we scrape on a curb while parking or whatever. There’s that moment you run your hand underneath the bumper and feel the paint damage and tell yourself it’s fine, you can’t see it, move on.
This Taycan’s bottom was bent forward like they really hit something and had to reverse back. Thankfully Porsche designed it so that part that got scrapped is replaceable. The place that’s detailing my car and adding full body PPF pulled up the schematics and was able to order that exact part to replace. Never had a car before that had that feature, intentional or not.
Now with the way the parking camera is positioned, I highly doubt I’ll ever accidentally scrape on a curb again. I hated the camera quality at first and it still sucks but with the level it’s positioned at, it works just fine for my use case. I no longer care that the image quality is that low and the fisheye effect is so strong.
