My family organizing wall is becoming chaos 😅 Help?
Hey everyone 👋
We’re trying to create a functional but still aesthetically pleasing family organizing wall in our hallway/kitchen area, and I’d love some ideas or inspiration from people who’ve solved this well.
Right now we need space for:
- invitations to birthday parties & events
- two kids’ school schedules
- library notices and random papers
- postcards and small memories
- kids’ drawings/art
- a family calendar
- maybe a small section for keys/mail/reminders
At the moment it’s starting to look cluttered really quickly 😅
I want it to stay practical for everyday family life, but also calm and visually nice — more “intentional family hub” and less “chaotic paper explosion”.
I attached a photo of the current setup.
What would you change?
Things I’m wondering:
- Should everything be framed/contained somehow?
- Best way to display kids’ art without visual chaos?
- How do you organize papers that constantly change?
- Any examples of family command centers that actually stay tidy and really work?
I especially love:
- Scandinavian / minimalist style
- systems that are easy enough for kids to use too
Would really appreciate photos, product recommendations, layout ideas, or any organizing tricks that worked for your family 🙏
