Ruined Speedcats
Puma Speedcats have genuinely been one of the most disappointing sneakers I’ve owned.
Wore them barely 2–3 times. Used a standard suede sneaker foam cleaner, and the black dye started bleeding all over the white Puma logo instantly. The shoes looked destroyed after ONE basic cleaning session.
Even professional cleaning through Tumbledry couldn’t fix it. For a shoe with an MRP close to ₹10k, this quality is honestly embarrassing. A sneaker at this price point shouldn’t fall apart because of normal maintenance.
What made the experience worse was Puma’s response:
- Return the damaged shoes
- Get a restrictive coupon worth INR 2900
- Coupon still isn’t enough to replace the same pair
So after spending hard-earned money on a premium sneaker, the solution offered is basically “give the shoes back and settle for store credit.”
The design may look good, but the material quality and dye finishing on my pair have been absolutely pathetic. Never expected such low level of quality control from Puma.
