Stocking regret?

Stocking regret?

I love my tank and my fishes but I realized that it’s not quite what I want. I understand MTS(multiple tank syndrome) now. I love cat fish and my original plan was to have an either a single Asian or a small group of South American bumblebee cats in my 55 gallon. No where in my area had either and I’m too scared to order fish online. So I went to my alternative list and ended up getting a rainbow shark and stocking it with other fish I find neat. Making my current stocking 10 lemon tetras, 5 black kuhli loaches, 4 Nerite snails and an albino rainbow shark. Everyone gets along and seems happy. But I find myself wonder if I should have gotten a Raphael, jaguar, small group of pictus or just waited until I could find either type of bumblebee. Have you ever loved and regretted a stocking choice at the same time?

Edit: Nerite not Nitrite. :)

My first tank set up. (55 gallon)

Ignore the reflection of street fighter 6 lol. How’d I do?What are some easy taller plants to fill in the top? Was thinking about adding some Vallisneria, is that a ok idea?
