tentative offer for US but require to submit TN visa first
I haven't had a permanent job for a few months, so I've been working as a freelancer. A few days ago, I received a tentative job offer. Surprisingly, they didn't interview me; they just asked me to apply for a TN visa.
Before sending the official offer, they told me I needed to submit the DS-160 form first. I consulted an immigration advisor, and he mentioned this is highly unusual. Legally, the official job offer is required to fill out the visa forms and present at the interview. However, the company insists that they need my interview dates before they can issue the official offer and provide more details.
has anyone experience something similar?
