I kinda hate how certain characters are treated like children who don't know any better(by the show).
All of these characters are grown ass adults, yet with both how they act and how the narrative treats them, it can be easy to forget that.
Literally anything they do is excused(not by the fandom, that's a separate issue that predominantly applies to Spencer and Fiore) because "oh poor uwu baby didn't know any better".
and it's ALWAYS THOSE DAMN PUPPY DOG EYES. I HATE THEM SO MUCH. THEY'RE SO OVERUSED AND IT'S NOT CUTE SEEING THEE GROWN ASS ADULTS MAKING FUCKING PUPPY DOG EYES.
Tom is honestly the least egregious example of this(especially in FvF), his issues predominantly lie elsewhere(USING HIS JOB TO FIND JAKE'S HOUSE AND WATCH HIM THROUGH THE FUCKING WINDOW....also just...most of his AS screentime). That being said...he's also the oldest so it makes his childlike moments all the worse.
Bruno isn't as bad with this either(he does kinda remind me of a self-insert OC with the way everyone on the favorites team is glazing him, but like...that's not related to this particular issue). But the other 3 are inexcusable, not once did I feel bad for a single one of them, especially with how all the shit they did gets glossed over.
Oliwia is the worst case. She is not some poor sad baby who didn't know sabotaging her team was bad, did you see how sneaky she was being? She knew FULL WELL what she was doing, but we're supposed to ignore that and see her as a poor sweet baby because "she just wanted friends" NO! Her doing all this conniving shit for minimal praise is the type of shit a teenager would do, and not even an older teenager either, I mean like...Middle School age!
