Any tips on fixing my nail beds due to pushing back the skin? Did I ruin them?
(English is not my first language) It's a bit of a nervous habit of mine to "clean" under my natural nails (with my other nails) since I was little, but I fear I've pushed my nail beds back too much :')
The first photo is my usual nail shape when dry, the second one is right after a shower where I feel the "whites" as they're "supposed to be" show, probably because of the moisture. (I hope I make sense, not sure how else to explain)
I'm trying really hard to quit the habit but I'm wondering if it's at all still possible to salvage my nail beds with a lot of patience, or if I've ruined them for life? I feel like it's thrown off the ratio of the white part of my nail vs the skin colored part of my nail plate, as it often looks like an inverted curve rather than a nice curved edge. Because of it I dislike the look of my nails, especially when I do try to apply regular polish french tips once in a blue moon.
Hoping someone can help, thanks in advance!
