Should I apply to transfer again from CWRU as an incoming sophomore?
I am an incoming sophomore at CWRU and I honestly don't love it. I applied to transfer this year. Here were my results:
Accepted to Vanderbilt, USC, and Emory
Waitlisted at UVA (rejected yesterday) and Northwestern but didn't submit LOCIs to either
Rejected from Rice
I have a research position at Case and my GPA right now is a . When I applied it was a 4.0 (went down after orgo). My SAT was a 1530. My high school ECs were pretty good imo but my college ECs rn are pretty mid to average i think (exec of two pretty inconsequential clubs, RA next year, volunteering at hospital, and research). I had to reject all my schools that accepted me because of cost even though I really wanted to go. I'm currently premed and I want to save money next year by being an RA and then reapply for the next cycle. However, I'm kind of scared about having to secure a research position all over again if I get accepted somewhere else not to mention the time, money, and stress of reapplying. But I really do not want to stay at Case. Does anyone have any advice or do you think I'd even get in anywhere? I think my list for next cycle would include Ivys, schools like Duke/Rice, and maybe Vanderbilt again.
